An arctic cold front will move through the region tonight. This will bring colder temperatures and gusty northwest winds, with the strongest winds on the South Dakota plains. Dangerously cold wind chills and patchy blowing snow will occur at times tonight through Sunday night. A weak disturbance may produce 1-3â of new snow Sunday night and Monday, mainly across northwest South Dakota, the Black Hills and far northeast Wyoming. Temperatures on Monday will be cold, with highs only in the single digits and lower teens. A wide range of temperatures are expected across the area on Tuesday and Wednesday, as the arctic boundary splits the area. |
