While Monday is not expected to be a widespread severe weather day, a few afternoon and early evening storms may be strong to locally severe. Tuesday severe weather chances remain more elevated, though slower trends suggest the greatest severe weather threat will be near or west of the Illinois River (level 3 risk in this area). The evening hours remain most favored for any severe weather that does occur.
